Coming to the end of a good year in this more and more unstable business. A first for me this year scoring a movie (The Pact) which is looking for distribution. Hopefully there will be more of that in the future. I was fortunate enough to have worked with the likes of Melissa Etheridge, Missy Higgins, Glee, Il Volo, Better Than Ezra, Dave Stewart, Wilson Phillips, and Jeff Trott to name a few. A few things lined up for 2012 already that I’m excited about. Until then…

This summer is busy with a handful of live dates with Melissa Etheridge. Pictured is the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA which is a beautiful venue in northern California. In other news I’ll be playing a gig with Alanis Morissette on September 1st up in San Francisco. It will my first time performing with Alanis since 2006.

Working at Henson Studios this week, one of my favorite in LA with Dave Stewart at the helm. Discovered that my old, odd 22×5 bass drum with calf heads is a great woofer. Also digging calf heads on my snares more and more.

Been in session world for the past few months. I just finished recording a covers record with Wilson Phillips. All Mamas & Papas and Beach Boys tunes. Recording a new version of Rock n Roll no. 2 with Cheap Trick for use by the NFL. Also have recorded with a handful of independent artists. Most notably, amazing soul/country singer Audra Mae. Live gigs have included subbing for Zach Alford in the rehearsals for the Glee tour, Better Than Ezra, Early Winters and Reining Monarchs.
